Head Coach

There are mandatory certifications and/or training as per the Ontario Woman’s Hockey Association (OWHA), for head coach positions.

The minimum requirements include:

• Coach 2 Certification
• Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check (completed in the last 2 years)
• Completion of Respect in Sport – Activity Leader (available online through the OWHA website).  This is different from the Respect in Sport – Parent edition.
• An interview with members of the Executive Board

Certification courses are available during the summer months and early fall for successful candidates.  Refer to OWHA website for available course dates/times.
